In the hidden Antarctic base of The Ancients, the creators of the Stargates, a new discovery reveals the Pegasus Galaxy where the lost city of Atlantis lies. A team of explorers led by Dr. Elizabeth Weir (Torri Higginson) embarks on a mission to investigate the city and bring back its secrets to Earth. The one drawback, however, is the team does not have enough power to return home. Believing there must be at least one planet in the Pegasus Galaxy that possesses the required technology, the crew passes through an unexplored network of Stargates in their endless quest to find a way back.

4 out of 5 stars Clip Show and Woolsey character development   October 30, 2008
E. Diaz (TX USA)
I enjoyed this episode of Stargate Atlantis mostly because of the character development of Woolsey.

It's a shame that Stargate Atlantis has been canceled, because I have been pleasantly surprised by Woolsey's actions in this episode and his overall development as the leader of SGA. He was learning to see that sometimes you just could not always do everything "by the book." and as a result he did some very suprising things in this episode that I would never have thought him of doing in the past. What would have been in store for him in a season six? Sadly we will never know.

Yes, it is a "clip show" but I enjoyed Woolsey's development. For me the first few minutes of the show and the last part when Woolsey shows up and the only really good parts.

4 out of 5 stars clips episode   October 28, 2008
aloja (honolulu, hi United States)
This episode ties together assorted episode clips to illustrate the overall mission: do what can be done to keep the galaxies free.

2 out of 5 stars It's a clip show.   October 27, 2008

I thought these were dead. Why not just have one less episode? This is irritating, especially when one has actually paid for the episode.

Lots of action, and twists. Great episode, brought bits of previous episodes into it as well.

1 out of 5 stars Tired of imagining. Time for real life.   October 16, 2008
William E. O'Bryant (East Coast, USA)
Stargate was okay for awhile, but they're drifting off into complete imaginary realms. It really gets boring watching these plastic-fantastic, unrealistic people acting like they're constantly saving the world, when in reality all they're actually doing is getting paid a heck of a lot of money for doing practically nothing. Can you imagine the homes these people own?? And all because they got their 'shot' in the film industry. Must be nice to have (and make) all that money, for doing nothing but acting. It's all just BS. These people are NOT our saviors, and they are NOT what they portray on your TV screen. Wake up. TV will not last another 15 years because there are too many commercials, and too many actors being paid WAY too much money.
