Product Description
Twilight is an action packed, modern day love story between a vampire and a human. Bella Swan has always been a little bit different and when her mother sends Bella to live with her father in the rainy little town of Forks, Washington, she doesn't expect much of anything to change. Then she meets the mysterious and dazzlingly beautiful Edward Cullen, a boy unlike any she's ever met. Soon, Bella and Edward are swept up in a passionate and decidedly unorthodox romance. Like all vampires, he's immortal. But he doesn't have fangs, and he doesn't drink human blood. To Edward, Bella is that thing he has waited 90 years for: a soul mate. But the closer they get, the more Edward must struggle to resist the primal pull of her scent, which could send him into an uncontrollable frenzy. But what will Edward and Bella do when James, Laurent and Victoria, the Cullens' mortal vampire enemies, come to town, looking for her? This is the first movie from the book series from author Stephanie Meyer. The series are currently some of the most popular books written for young adults, with sales exceeding 50 million copies worldwide since the Twilight debut in 2004 and over 7.7 million copies sold in the U.S. alone. The fourth book in the series, Breaking Dawn, was released on August 2, 2008 and sold over 1.2 million units on the first day.

Album Description
Every song on the Twilight soundtrack is featured in the movie. The soundtrack includes `Decode,' an exclusive song from Paramore written specifically for Twilight! 'I chose the title 'Decode' because the song is about the building tension, awkwardness, anger and confusion between Bella and Edward. Bella is the only mind Edward can't read and I feel like that's a big part of the first book and one of the obstacles for them to overcome. It's one added tension that makes the story even better.'-- Hayley Williams / Paramore.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Compilation   December 1, 2008
Kelly Glaze (Cabot, AR)
The Twilight Soundtrack is one of the best compilation CDs I've ever heard. It has a great mix of rock, soothing acoustic guitar, and part of the original score. The tracks selected fit the book and movie very well, and Carter Burwell's Lullaby is enchanting. Rob Pattinson's "Never Think" is amazing. It's too bad that his other song from the movie, "Let Me Sign" didn't make it onto this CD. Regardless, I love the soundtrack!!

5 out of 5 stars In a word: Awesome!   December 1, 2008
R. Saunders
This is one of the best CD's I've bought in a long time. The music wasn't what I was expecting, but it fit the story better than I could have imagined. The only downer was that the tracks on the CD aren't in the same order that they were in the movie, so if you want to listen to them in order, you have to take the time to program the CD player to play them in order. Other than that, it's awesome. I don't think I've listened to any other CD scince I got this one. I highly recomend it.

3 out of 5 stars not enough Burwell   December 1, 2008
Nancy B. LaMotta (Annandale, VA United States)
If you're expecting this soundtrack to have all Carter Burwell's incidental music for "Twilight" on it, be prepared for disappointment. You get only one short track at the very end. Burwell should sue for another release of his own score. It was was brilliant and it grows on you--sweeping, swirling, or pounding, by turns. All we get, though, is the one lullaby, and thank goodness for that. I hope they will eventually release the rest of his music from the film; why couldn't it have been interspersed with the regular songs? Burwell's music for "In Bruges" was gorgeous, pumped up or moody,--and he delivered nicely here, too.
The baseball theme (track 1) delivers good punch for the hard action of the game scene in midst of thunderstorm. And, although you can barely tell what he's saying, Pattinson's own minimalist guitar song fits the mood nicely--I don't even care what he may be saying.
But if you were looking for more of the original score... dream on.

3 out of 5 stars Not in the car but fine in the house   December 1, 2008
G. Guesby (Atlanta, GA United States)
It's weird. Brand-new CD and it skips in the car, but it's fine in the CD-Rom at home. The music, itself, was ok, but I didn't think it was appropriate to the book I read. After seeing the movie, yeah, some of the songs fit, but not many. I still think my sister's playlist is more "Twilight-appropriate."

4 out of 5 stars 4 STARS... Pretty good for a soundtrack!   December 1, 2008
Steph
I purchased this awhile ago but I didn't have a chance to listen to it.
After watching Twilight and being intrigued by the songs (not the acting haha), I gave the CD a try.

I got to say... most of the songs were perfectly chosen for the scenes, but some songs were misplaced and just boring.

1. Muse - Supermassive Black Hole
This is my favorite song on the CD. Very hectic and pumps you up.
Seeing how Muse inspired Stephenie Meyer while writing the series, I thought this song was pretty important.

2. Paramore - Decode
The lyrics pertain to Bella & Edward's complex relationship and how Edward can't "decode" Bella's thoughts. Wish it was in the movie though, not the credits.

3. The Black Ghosts - Full Moon
This was in the first 5 minutes of the movie. Song relates to how Bella comes to Forks for the first time.

4. Linkin Park - Leave Out All The Rest
This is a different sound coming from Linkin Park, but I loved it.
Again, this song was in the credits & not made of much use :/

5. Mutemath - Spotlight (Twilight Mix)
This song was played when Edward & Bella became "official."
Clever song choice for the scene since all eyes were on the couple.

6. Perry Farrell - Go All The Way (Into the Twilight)
I didn't really like this song. It was probably chosen for its title "Into the Twilight".

7. Collective Soul - Tremble for My Beloved
Very mystique and eerie. Perfect for the car accident scene.

8. Paramore - I Caught Myself
Very catchy song. "Down to you, keep pushing and pulling me down to you."
You can imagine Bella's struggle. Too bad this song was used in the wrong scene.

9. Blue Foundation - Eyes on Fire
Personally, I got to love this song. However, the dark lyrics didn't exactly match the scene in the movie.

10. Rob Pattinson - Never Think
This is Rob's first recorded song so I got to give props to him. It was sort of random in the movie, but listening to it at home was a whole different experience. It almost made me tear up... shh!

11. Iron & Wine - Flightless Bird, American Mouth
Perfect song for the perfect scene. It's very romantic & soft.

12. Carter Burwell - Bella's Lullaby
Burwell did an excellent job composing this piece. He's an excellent musician, but this song wasn't really what I was looking for as Bella's lullaby. When I read the book I imagined maybe Yiruma's "Love Me."
The song should have been more personal. I think the reason why I gave it 4 stars is because of this song. It didn't display any kind of emotion "Edward" would have put in the song.
