It starts by steam cooking vegetables, fruits and meats in less than 15 minutes, while preserving their vitamins and flavors. It then purees and blends them to the desired consistency. Parents can also use the Babycook to quickly reheat or defrost precooked foods. The Babycook has been safety-tested for BPA. Please see the attached report for more information The bowl is made from unbreakable Polysulfone (PSU) and the cooking basket from transparent polypropylene (PP). It comes with a 2 - cup capacity bowl, cooking basket, spatula and recipe booklet. The bowl and basket are top-rack dishwasher safe. Simple Cleaning How should I clean my appliances? Pour vinegar (preferably spirit vinegar) in the heating tank and put it through a heating cycle. Rinse carefully and repeat two heating cycles using regular water to rinse thoroughly. It is recommended to de-scale your appliances regularly to ensure long product life. Does the Babycook seal have to be regularly changed? If the seal is always properly cleaned (not suitable for dishwasher) and properly positioned, there is no need to change it. However it may suffer some wear and tear, so check that it is not flaking on occasion. There is fine brown silt at the bottom of my heating tank. What is it? If you notice a brown deposit (lime scale) in your heating tank, it is time to de-scale your appliance. Please note, this is not toxic to your infant.
